Sophie De Clercq has documented the Belgian market since 2019 and tests every operator personally where support and limits always comes first. Based in Brugge.

How we test. we open an account ourselves, carry out a real deposit, request payout and record the turnaround. We check the operator against the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and check what the terms actually say.

The site runs on affiliate income; the assessment is not altered by it. Whoever is not on the white list reads it here.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The Belgian framework around player protection is notably strictly by European standards and you feel it on the first deposit. The standard limit runs to €200 per week per site. Reducing it needs no waiting time, going beyond that takes a review and time.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: the exclusion applies instantly across the whole licensed landscape. Reversing it is not immediate. Since 1 September 2024 the minimum age is 21 for casino, gaming hall and betting; 18 still applies at the National Lottery alone. The bar is statutory, not a house rule.
